HayMakers Handbook

New Holland is proud of its 120 year heritage in farming and agriculture and with a strong center around hay and forage equipment, helping our customers make good, quality hay is important. In 1967, New Holland published a special edition “how-to” guidebook drawing together relevant university research and farm-raised expertise to help both novices and well established farms understand the latest techniques to improve upon hay and forage production. This booklet was so popular that it was revised, expanded and re-published as a book in 1975, 1987 and most recently, last year, in 2011.

The Hay Makers Handbook was developed and revised with experts in hay and forage at New Holland and the Pennsylvania State University. Many of the original messages contained within the early editions of Haymaker’s Handbook remain valid despite the many landmark industry developments that have occurred. This book covers topics from start to finish for making hay; from Growing and Harvesting to Packaging and Feeding – you’ll find this book is a useful tool for anyone in the hay business.
